They're coming ...

A real practical discussion on the eve of the new school year ... I revisit ideas on building community (and accountability) in online learaning environments (like Moodle). Also, I take a spin through Owl Intranet.

Some web fodder for student explorations into netiquette:

James,
I have a question... are you still using Audacity to convert you .wav files to .mp3? If so, what did you have do to correct the audio segments that dropped out from your podcast you made sometime this summer? I tried to create a "truckcast" this morning on the way to work, and I have not been able to convert the .wav file I downloaded from my iPod into a file i can use in garageband....got any suggestions?

I think I answered my own question. Converted the .wav file to AAC in iTunes then edited that file in Garageband! It works. Too easy. I just deleted Audacity. It does not like Tiger, which does not support OSX 9.

later!

John,

Audacity doesn't like anyone or anything, I think. I still haven't figure out what happened to that podcast over the summer. Thankfully, it hasn't happened again.
